1. How much does it cost to rent a concrete mixer ? 

The cost of rental/hire of a concrete mixer in Australia ranges between $45- $90 over a 24 hour hire period, these price differences depend on machinery quality, size and the rental service. 

 2. How much does it cost to get concrete ?

The price of professionally obtaining concrete ranges between $240 at a minimum, to theoretically millions of dollars dependent on the job size. Minimum qualities are generally 0.4 cubic metres, and prices for pathways will range between $60-$150 per square metre for plain, decorative or exposed aggregate concrete. 

 3. How long does it take to mix concrete ? 

In a concrete mixer the components should be fully combined into a uniform consistency within 3-4 minutes of turning on the machine. 

 4. What is the correct mix for concrete ?

For general use concrete with no specific applications, the best heuristic is to use mixer of 1 part concrete : 2 parts sand : 3 parts gravel by volume (e.g 1kg of concrete with 2kg sand and 3kg gravel) then mixing it with water to obtain your desired consistency. 

 5. How long does concrete take to set ?

Concrete can take anywhere between 10min- 24 hours to fully set (depending on the type), however it will around 7 days to reach 70% strength and up to 1 month to cure to its full strength.
